20 Minutes of Fun and a Fin
Well conditions haven't improved today but the first round was run off anyway. It's been big onshore and random. If you missed the rip you just didn't get out the back.Noel did well and took second place in his heat and is still in the first flow. I couldn't get a second decent wave today and took third (the big bloody fin in the water 10 mins into my heat didn't help). Local wisdom said it probably wasn't a dolphin. So it's an early start in the second flow tomorrow.
Conditions are supposed to get better tomorrow so we're looking forward to that. You'll get an idea of the waves today from the photos. There wasn't much inspiration to take many. Update again soon.
MANKY

You can't see how big and ugly it is from the photos but if it's any indication there are ships getting washed up on the rocks in the Harbour
So the event has been cancelled for Monday.
We're in the water tomorrow whether we like it or not.
